It’s okay if you’re feeling overwhelmed with the weight of the world right now. With all the pain, the fear, the grief. Your feelings, whatever they may be and however many you may be holding at once, are valid.
The deaths of more Black & brown loved ones – Adam Toledo, Daunte Wright-, the mass shooting taking the lives of 8 people, the wave of anti-trans laws. A global pandemic. The continued hurt that comes from white supremacy, police violence, and more. These have real effects on mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. And there is nothing 'wrong’ with you for feeling them. It’s a lot to hold.
You deserve to tend to & take care of yourself, to reach out for support. To find moments of ease & rest & joy.
And I hope we can, with compassion for ourselves & for others, lean into the ways things can be different, and move with intention and with love to make it so.
